Little Kitten Gazing at a Butterfly Among Daisies
Coloring guide
Sitting upright in the grass, this fluffy kitten tilts its head back and fixes its big round eyes and little smile on a butterfly fluttering just overhead. It has tufty fur on the cheeks and chest, pointed ears, long whiskers and a curly tail that swoops up behind. Tufts of grass surround its paws, along with three daisy-style flowers with round centers: one tall on the right and two smaller ones in the bottom corners. The butterfly has a smiling face, two curly antennae and patterned wings with lots of room for detail. Bold, clean lines suit preschoolers and early elementary kids alike. Orange stripes on the kitten, purple and pink wings and yellow flower centers make a cheerful mix. Print this free page for a quiet afternoon or an animal-themed class activity. This fits right in with our Kitten coloring pages — see also Pusheen and Hello Kitty.

- 2Color the inside of both ears light pink, then fill the cat's right side and back haunch with warm orange.
- 3Fill the butterfly's wings with sky blue and violet purple, and color the butterfly's head and body golden yellow.
- 4Paint the daisies: give the petals lilac and violet purple, and make the centers golden yellow with a bubblegum pink petal on the bottom flower.
- 5Add the small grass tuft and the grass blades in leaf green, leaving the background white.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra shading on the orange areas with a slightly darker orange for a fluffy look.
