Little Mouse Chef Decorating Halloween Cookies

Coloring guide
Wearing a tall chef's hat and apron, a smiling little mouse squeezes icing from a piping bag onto a pumpkin cookie. There's lots here for small hands to color. The baking tray next to the mouse holds more Halloween treats: jack-o'-lantern cookies, two friendly ghosts and a pair of bats. A mixing bowl with a spoon and a rolling pin sit in the foreground, and behind the counter you can spot a potted plant and a paned window. The mouse has big round ears, long whiskers and a curly tail that loops down the left side of the page. Warm orange pumpkin cookies and pale lavender ghosts look nice, and leaving the chef's hat bright white makes it pop. This free printable is a good pick for kids who like baking and spooky-season fun. Add this to your Halloween coloring page collection, alongside The Grinch and Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big fur areas: color the mouse's head, body, arms and face light gray, and fill the inner ears and tail with light pink or salmon pink. Leave the eye whites white.
- 2Fill the background wood with warm brown for the cabinets, counter and wall, and use tan wood for the window frame and wooden spoon handle.
- 3Color the window panes light sky blue and the bushes outside with forest green, olive green and lime green. Paint the flower pot tomato red with a cream yellow rim and give the plant leaves olive green.
- 4Add the cookie tray in light gray, then fill the pumpkin cookies with pumpkin orange, the bat cookies with violet purple, and the mixing bowl with bright blue. Keep the ghost cookies and chef hat white.
- 5Finish the kitchen details: color the sleeves and apron straps lavender purple, the piping bag and orange batter pumpkin orange, and the rolling pin handles tomato red. Leave the apron and heart shapes white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker gray shading under the mouse and along the tray edges to make the drawing feel more lifelike.
