Little Rainbow Rangers Gardener Planting a Sapling with a Bunny
Coloring guide
Down in the dirt, a smiling girl with a long side braid kneels and gently pats soil around a leafy young sapling. A small bunny sits close by, watching. Her little cape is fastened with a round clasp at the neck, and her big eyes stay on the plant she's looking after. You'll spot a watering can with a sprinkler rose on its spout, a garden trowel on the ground, a mound of loose soil with curved texture lines, and a few tufts of grass. Wide shapes and clear outlines work well for preschoolers and early elementary kids, and this free printable suits a spring or gardening lesson. Fresh greens fit the sapling leaves and grass, browns suit the soil, and the curious bunny looks sweet in soft gray or white. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the face, neck, arms and hands with light peach, leaving the eye whites untouched.
- 2Fill the hair and braid with chestnut brown, and use amber brown for the shovel handle.
- 3Color the cape and collar bright red, then fill the shirt with royal blue and the pants with navy blue.
- 4Color the sapling's leaves with leaf green and the watering can and its spout with golden yellow, keeping the small shine on the can white.
- 5Color the shovel blade silver gray and the shovel grip sandy tan, then add the bunny's soft pink inner ears.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading to the braid and under the cape to make the drawing feel more dimensional. Leave the bunny body and soil background white.
