Long-Eared Bat Flying Over Hills With Clouds

Coloring guide
A fluffy bat flies straight toward the viewer with both wings spread wide. It has two very tall, pointed ears, small round eyes, a tiny nose, and a furry chest drawn with short sketchy lines. The thin wing membranes are divided by long finger bones, and you can see the small clawed feet and thumbs poking out near the body. Above it, a wavy cloud stretches across the top left corner, and a few gentle hills with little grass tufts run along the bottom. The large wing panels give plenty of room for blending or patterns. Try coloring the fur in soft browns and tans, then use a lighter shade on the wings so the bones stand out. This page is also a nice starting point for talking about how bats use their stretched finger bones to fly. It is free to print for home or classroom use.
