Long-Lashed Hen With Scalloped Neck Collar

A cartoon hen stands in side view, facing left with her beak slightly open. She has large round eyes with little eyelashes, a bumpy comb on top of her head, and a wattle hanging under her beak. The neck has a scalloped feather collar, and the wing is marked with a few curved lines. Her tail feathers curve up at the back, and she stands on two thin legs with long, spread toes. The outlines are bold and the background is plain white, so there is lots of open space for crayons or markers. Try red for the comb and wattle, then pick two or three warm browns for the body, wing, and tail so the feather sections stand out. It also works well for a farm animal lesson on the parts of a hen.
