A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the frogs: fill the mama frog and her three babies, plus their arms and legs, with leaf green, and leave the eye shines white.
- 2Color the big pond lily pads and the top grass blades with leaf green, then use forest green for the darker lily pad and grass shadows.
- 3Fill the bellies of all four frogs with soft yellow, and color the frog's tongue hot pink.
- 4Color the long log in warm brown, add ochre and light tan to the round end rings, and use dark brown for the knot in the middle.
- 5Paint the water lines around the log and lily pads with bright blue and pale blue, and color the lotus flowers with rose pink petals, orange centers, and golden yellow middles.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker green or brown on one side of each object to make the drawing look more shaded.
