Man Holding Sword Among Roman Soldiers in Garden
Coloring guide
A bearded man in a wrapped head cloth and long draped robe stands in the center of a wooded scene, with one arm stretched out to his side. Next to him, another bearded man holds a sword low in front of his body. Behind them are Roman soldiers in crested helmets, layered armor and pleated skirts, one lifting a hanging lantern and another gripping a sword at his belt. Tall spears and flaming torches rise behind the crowd, and tree trunks and grassy tufts fill the background. In the front right corner, a figure seen from behind clutches the side of his head. This free page suits a Good Friday lesson. Kids could color the torch flames in warm oranges, shade the armor in silver and bronze, and then talk about how each person in the scene might be feeling.
