Maryland Flag With Crosses and Four Quadrants

Maryland Flag With Crosses and Four Quadrants coloring page

Coloring guide

A rectangular flag is split into four equal quadrants. The top left and bottom right quadrants each show vertical lines crossed by a wide diagonal band running from the upper left toward the lower right, which makes a pattern of small angled sections. The top right and bottom left quadrants each hold a large cross with rounded, clover-like ends on every arm, and a thin line runs through the center of each cross. The shapes are big and the lines are clean, so crayons and markers work well. Kids can color the two striped quadrants in one pair of colors and the two cross quadrants in another, which is a nice way to talk about patterns that repeat across a flag. This free printable also fits a lesson on state symbols or a unit on how flags are designed.
