Birds Perched in a Floral May 2019 Calendar

A May 2019 monthly calendar sits in the middle of a busy floral border. The word MAY is drawn in big outlined block letters at the top left, with a small bird perched just below it. More birds are tucked into the flowers at the top right, along the left edge, and across the bottom. The border is packed with blossoms of different sizes, some with round petals and dotted centers, others with long pointed petals, plus leafy stems and scattered small dots. The calendar grid runs Sunday through Saturday, and each square is empty and roomy enough for notes. Days from April and June show up in light gray. Try coloring the flowers in spring shades, then use the open boxes to write birthdays, field trips, or a reading log. Print it for the classroom and let kids color it while they practice finding dates.
