Mermaid Swimming With Treasure Map and Long Hair

A young mermaid swims through the water with her long hair streaming behind her. She looks over her shoulder with big eyes, long lashes, and a small smile. A little seashell sits near her hair at the side of her head. Her tail curves up behind her, covered in rounded scales near the body and ending in a large, flowing fin with a long ribbon-like curl trailing out to the right. In one hand she holds a rolled treasure map with a dotted path, an arrow, and a few land shapes drawn on it. The scales are a nice spot for a pattern: try alternating two or three shades of blue and green, then trace the dotted route on the map with a bright marker. The printable page also works well for talking about maps and how a dotted line shows a path.
