Milking Time with a Young Farmer and a Friendly Cow
Coloring guide
Perched on a little three-legged stool, a young farmer in a brimmed hat, overalls and rubber boots milks a cow into a bucket. The cow smiles right out at you. She has big eyes, a bell around her neck, a tufted head, small horns and a long tail with a fluffy tip, and her body is covered in wavy patches that are fun to fill in. Wooden barn walls and fence posts stand behind them, along with a small window showing puffy clouds. A pile of hay sits on the right and straw is scattered over the ground. Chocolate brown patches, a golden bell and tan hay make it feel cozy. This free printable is great for animal lovers and gives practice with both tiny details and big areas. - 2Fill the cow's large body with ivory, then add caramel brown patches on its back, head and neck, keeping the eyes white.
- 3Color the farmer's overalls and boots with medium blue and deep blue, then add the red shirt in tomato red.
- 4Paint the farmer's hat sunny yellow with a tomato red band, and use peach for the faces and hands.
- 5Add the hay in sunny yellow, the wooden stool and barn posts in light wood and dark brown, and the milk bucket in steel gray with white milk inside.
- 6Optional: Add grass green to the ground and a few chocolate brown shadows under the stool and hat for depth.
