Missouri State Flag With Seal and Stars

Missouri State Flag With Seal and Stars coloring sheet

Coloring guide

A rectangular flag outline is divided into three horizontal bands, with a large round seal sitting in the center over the middle stripe. A ring of stars circles the seal's edge. Inside, two standing bears flank a shield, one on each side. The shield is split into sections that show a crescent moon, a small bear, and an eagle. A band wraps around the shield with the words United We Stand Divided We Fall. Above it sits a helmet with a cluster of small stars in an arc. A ribbon at the bottom reads Salus Populi Suprema Lex Esto, and the numerals MDCCCXX appear below. Kids can color the three stripes red, white, and blue, then pick out the bears and stars with careful detail. It also works well for a state study lesson, where students can look up what each symbol on the seal stands for.
