Mom Settles a Pom-Pom Hat on Her Smiling Boy

A woman stands behind a smiling boy and gently settles a pom-pom hat onto his head. The boy wears a zigzag-patterned sweater, a jacket, pants and tall lace-up boots, and he holds the front edges of his jacket with both hands. Behind them a big window shows falling snow, snowy hills and a snow-covered evergreen tree, with curtains drawn to each side. In the foreground a striped scarf with fringe hangs over a wooden chair, a mitten rests on the seat, and a steaming mug sits on a table at the left. This free printable page is great for talking about getting dressed for cold weather. Try coloring the scarf in bold alternating stripes and the sweater zigzag in two contrasting colors, then ask kids to name each piece of winter clothing they spot.
