Moon-Gazing Wolf and Boy, a Wild Kratts Forest Page
Coloring guide
Sitting cross-legged on the grass, a smiling spiky-haired boy tilts his head up next to a fluffy wolf, and both look at a big full moon covered in crater circles. His high-collared suit has a fox face emblem on the chest, zigzag fur-style trim on the sleeves and legs, chunky boots and a glove on one hand. The wolf sits tall with pointed ears, a thick chest ruff and a big curled tail. Pine trees, rounded bushes, grass tufts and a night sky of stars and tiny dots sit behind them. The wide-open moon and the fluffy fur are easy for little hands, and the suit patterns give older kids more to work on. Silvery gray and white are nice for the wolf, with a deep blue sky and a pale yellow moon. Print the free PDF for a screen-free activity at home. - light gray
- royal blue
- peach
- warm brown
- charcoal gray
- golden yellow
- bright red
- soft pink
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the moon craters, the stars and the small star shapes in the sky with golden yellow, leaving the moon outline white.
- 2Fill the boy's suit, pants, collar and sleeves with royal blue, keeping the eye whites and the neck highlight white.
- 3Color the pine trees and bushes on both sides with forest green, and fill the boy's face and hand with peach.
- 4Paint the wolf's fur with cream, its inner ears with soft pink, and the shadowy tail base and back legs with charcoal gray. Give the boy's hair warm brown.
- 5Add light gray to the boy's armor, shoes and vest emblem, then add bright red stripes on the arm, glove and shoes.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of charcoal gray under the wolf and the boy to give them some depth, and leave the eye whites, the background and the tree edge white.
