Moon Landing Kitten Astronaut, 44 Cats Coloring Page
Coloring guide
A smiling striped kitten in a bubble space helmet stands on the moon holding a tall flag with a big star on it. The helmet has a little antenna on top, and the spacesuit has a chest control panel, a belt buckle, striped sleeves and legs and chunky boots. The kitten's tail curls out behind it, striped too. A small rocket sits on the left, and the ground is dotted with bowl-shaped craters and little oval pebbles. Above, outlined stars twinkle and planet Earth hangs in the sky with its continents drawn in. Large shapes are easy for small hands, and the stripes and craters give older kids some detail work. A bright red or sunny yellow flag will stand out against a deep blue Earth and soft gray moon ground. Print the free PDF and maybe keep a few extra copies handy. This fits right in with our 44 Cats coloring pages — see also Puppy Dog Pals and Calico Critters.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

- 2Color the cat's face, ears, cheeks and tail in tangerine orange, keeping the eye whites and muzzle highlights white.
- 3Add the flag in sky blue with a lemon yellow star, then color the flagpole in light gray and its top ball in lemon yellow.
- 4Color the rocket body in light gray, its nose cone and fins in bright red, and the porthole in sky blue, leaving the backpack white.
- 5Fill the moon ground craters and rocks with golden yellow, pale gold and bronze brown, and color the Earth's land in leaf green.
- 6Finish with the red belt and leg stripes in brick red, the boot soles and belt buckle in medium gray, and keep the spacesuit white. Optional: add a little darker shading on the helmet edges for depth.
