Mama Dog and Her Four Puppies in a Cozy Barn
Coloring guide
In the middle of a cozy barn sits a big, smiling mother dog with a fluffy chest, surrounded by four playful puppies. One snoozes with its head on her leg, another sits up and yawns wide, a third sniffs a daisy growing in the straw, and the smallest rolls on its back with paws in the air and tongue out. All of them rest on a quilted blanket. Behind them are stacked hay bales, a pitchfork leaning on the wall, a coiled rope hanging up, a wooden crate, and a window that looks out on clouds and a fence. The flower, quilt squares and straw offer lots of small spaces for little hands. Golden yellow suits the dogs' fur, and a bright pink or orange works for the daisy. This free printable suits a range of ages and skill levels. Add this to your Puppies coloring page collection, alongside Duck and Reptiles.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big blue quilt under the puppies using sky blue, coloring around the paws and bodies.
- 2Color the mama dog and all four puppies in golden yellow, leaving the eye whites and nose area lighter for a sweet expression.
- 3Fill the hay bales and the straw on the left and right with bright yellow.
- 4Color the barn wood, crate, pitchfork handle and rope in warm brown, then add pale blue to the sky in the window and leaf green to the trees.
- 5Use soft pink for the mama dog's tongue and the inside of the yawning puppy's mouth, and finish the grass with grass green.
- 6Optional: add a little darker golden yellow in the shadowed fur under the puppies to make them look fluffier.
