Kangaroo Mom and Joey Mother's Day Coloring Page
Coloring guide
Standing upright with big long ears, sparkly lashed eyes and a friendly little nose, this mother kangaroo wears a big smile. A tiny joey is tucked into her belly pouch and peeks out happily, with small paws on the pouch edge and one paw holding a round-petaled flower. Scalloped bushes sit on both sides of them and tufts of grass dot the ground, while her long tail curves out behind her. Thick, clean outlines and roomy shapes work well for small hands, and the flower and the joey's face give older kids something to focus on. Warm golden browns suit mom and a soft tan suits the joey. A bright pink or yellow flower will stand out nicely. Print it free whenever you want a quick coloring break. Add this to your Mother's Day coloring page collection, alongside Back to School and Summer.

- 2Color the pouch and the joey's belly, arm, muzzle and the pouch edges with pale cream yellow.
- 3Add soft rose pink to the inner parts of both the mother's ears and the joey's ears.
- 4Color the mother's nose dark chocolate brown, then leave the eyes and small eye shine spots white.
- 5Keep the flower and grass white, or add a light green touch to the grass if you like.
- 6Optional: Add a few darker tan strokes along the edges of the body to give the kangaroo a bit of depth.
