Mama Sheep and Her Lamb by a Wooden Fence

Coloring guide
A large, smiling mother sheep bends her head down toward her little lamb, who looks up at her with bright, curious eyes. Both are drawn with fluffy, curly wool in bumpy outlines, floppy ears, and long thin legs ending in tiny hooves. A plain wooden fence with two thick posts runs across the meadow behind them. Grass tufts dot the ground, and one small flower sits at the lower left with another at the right. Small hands can handle the big wool shapes, while the grass and flowers give older kids some finer work. Cream or light gray looks good on the wool, pale pink on the inner ears, and warm browns on the fence. Print it out for an easy afternoon activity. Kids who like Sheep coloring pages usually enjoy Penguin and Finding Nemo too.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the wooden fence posts and rails with warm brown, keeping the flowers and grass white.
- 2Color the mama sheep's face and ear outlines and both lambs' legs with light tan.
- 3Paint the inside of both ears and the lamb's inner ear soft pink.
- 4Give the lamb's body and tail a light cream white tint, leaving the fluffy wool areas bright.
- 5Color all the hooves charcoal gray and leave the eye whites and wool highlights white.
- 6Optional: add a light touch of warm brown in the shadows under the wool to make the sheep look fluffier.
