Hammer Raised to Nail Jesus, Good Friday Scene

A man with a halo and a crown of thorns lies stretched out on a wooden cross lying on the ground, wearing only a cloth wrapped around his waist. One worker on the left raises a hammer over a nail in his outstretched hand, while another man with a beard kneels on the right and holds his feet. A toolbox with nails and pincers sits beside the cross, and a few more tools lie in the lower left corner. Behind them, Roman soldiers in plumed helmets stand with spears and a tall standard, and several robed onlookers raise their arms under a cloudy sky with rays of light. This page suits older kids and Sunday school groups. Try soft grays and browns for the stormy sky and the wood, then talk about the story of Good Friday as you color.
