Curled up for a nap on the sea floor, this chubby Godzilla-style dinosaur has closed eyes, a tiny smile, and a couple of little teeth peeking out. Its head rests on its front paws and its long tail wraps around the front of its body. Big leafy plates run along its back, and small scale marks dot its round belly and head. Nearby you'll spot six striped fish swimming, plenty of floating bubbles, wavy seaweed, branching coral, and tube-shaped sponges along the bottom and sides. Thick outlines and roomy shapes make it an easy free printable for younger kids, and the scales and coral keep older kids busy. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big body, head and curled tail: fill them with turquoise, leaving the small teeth white.
- 2Color the back spikes and head spikes with grass green, and the small leaf-like spikes near the tail with leaf green.
- 3Fill the purple rocks and tube corals with lavender purple and orchid purple, and the seaweed with grass green and emerald green.
- 4Add the fish and bubbles: the big fish in golden yellow and tangerine orange, the small striped fish in sky blue, and leave the bubble shine spots white.
- 5Fill the sand patches with honey yellow and sand gold, the claws with cream, and the orange corals with tangerine orange.
- 6Optional: add a few darker turquoise or steel blue strokes along the body edges and under the tail to give the dino some depth.
