Netherlands Flag With Windmill and Tulips to Color

Coloring guide
A tall windmill with four lattice-style sails stands on a small grassy hill, with a little window on its rounded tower. In front sits a big rectangular Netherlands flag made of three equal horizontal stripes, and two tulips with long leaves poke up from behind the flag's top edge. The word Netherlands is written in brush-style letters along the bottom. Kids can color the flag stripes red, white and blue from top to bottom, which is a nice way to talk about how the Dutch flag is put together. Then they can pick bright colors for the tulips and try a different shade for each section of the windmill sails. The wide, open shapes are easy for younger kids, and the sail grid gives older kids some detail work. This printable page works well for geography lessons or a quick country study.
