Night Sky Stargazing with a Telescope, Rainbow Dash (MLP) Page
Coloring guide
A little winged pony is sitting in the grass, one eye up to a big telescope on a tripod as she looks at the night sky. Her long wavy mane runs down her back, one feathered wing is folded at her side, and her curly tail wraps around on the ground next to her. Fluffy round ears peek out from her hair. Above her are a crescent moon, a shooting star with a long tail, and lots of small stars in different sizes. Further back, a cozy cottage with a chimney stands beside a winding path and a few trees, and tufts of grass and little flowers cover the foreground. It's a nice free printable for quiet time or a space-themed lesson. Deep blue and purple would suit the sky, with bright yellow for the moon and stars, which lets the pony's mane pop in rainbow colors. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the pony's body, both wings, and the ears with sky blue, leaving the eye whites and the sky background white.
- 2Color the telescope tube and its stand with royal blue, then add golden yellow to the rim at the end of the telescope.
- 3Use lavender purple, baby pink, and golden yellow to color the flowing mane and tail, alternating the stripes as you go. Add a hot pink tip to the tail and a salmon pink tint near the chest.
- 4Color the grass, bushes, and tree with forest green and light green, and fill the little house roof and path with cream beige.
- 5Color the tripod legs and joints with wood brown, then add golden yellow to the feet and the stars. Leave the sky background white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading with a deeper blue on the telescope and a slightly darker purple under the mane for depth.
