Olympic Fencer in Mask Lunging With Foil

A fencer in a mesh face mask stands front and center in a wide lunge, one arm stretched forward holding a long thin blade and the other bent back with the glove raised. The fencer wears a loose jacket and long pants, with flat shoes planted far apart. Behind, two more fencers in masks are drawn in a lighter outline, also holding blades as they face off along the long strips of the playing area. In the lower left corner, the five Olympic rings sit on a banner with a notched bottom edge. Try coloring the five rings in their traditional colors, then pick a bright color for the front fencer's jacket so the figure stands out from the faded fencers behind. It also works well as a quick prompt for talking about fencing as an Olympic sport. This printable page suits a range of ages.
