Round Owls on Branches in a Busy Acorn Pattern

Round Owls on Branches in a Busy Acorn Pattern coloring sheet

Coloring guide

Round owls with big circle eyes sit on thin branches in a busy repeating pattern. Each owl has a dotted face, a scaly feathered chest, little pointed ears and a fan-shaped tail. The owls sit sideways, and some are cut off by the page edge. Around them are oak leaves, heart-shaped leaves, pointed leaves with striped veins, acorns with textured caps, small five-petal flowers, tiny hearts and swirly rosebuds. Many of the shapes are filled with dots, dashes and crosshatch lines, so there is plenty to color. For a fun activity, try using one color family for all the owls and a different mix of warm autumn shades for each type of leaf. Kids can also count how many acorns they find or hunt for the small hearts scattered between the larger shapes. This page is free to print and works well for quiet time at home or in the classroom.
