Paisley Baby Elephant and Palace, Adult Coloring Printable
Coloring guide
This smiling baby elephant stands in the middle of a detailed page, covered from head to toe in paisley swirls, little flowers and diamond shapes. The trunk curls up at the tip, and the elephant wears a patterned cap, a decorated trunk, banded ankles and a large layered blanket with a flower in the center. Behind it you'll see a leafy tree with big blossoms, a round sun, clouds, mountains, palm trees, and a domed palace with tall arched windows beside the water. Flower bushes fill the bottom corners. The small patterns are made for older kids, teens or grown-ups with fine-tip markers and colored pencils. A deep red and gold blanket looks rich, and cool blues and greens on the paisleys help the elephant stand out. It's a free printable PDF to add to your coloring collection. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background: color the sun and the dome tops golden yellow, the ground warm yellow, and the mountains periwinkle, leaving the sky and the cloud's highlights white.
- 2Fill the water with sky blue and the trees and bushes around the palace with forest green and grass green, keeping the palm leaves white.
- 3Color the elephant's body light gray, leaving the eye whites and the smile area white, and paint the trunk tip and trunk band sky blue.
- 4Add the ear in teal with the flowers left white, then fill the big blanket with red and its trim with golden yellow, and the lower trim with tan.
- 5Finish the tiny details: paint the palace door caramel brown, the feet cream, and the tree trunk brown, then add pink flowers in the bottom corners.
- 6Optional: add a little shading with a darker gray along the belly and legs so the elephant looks rounder.
