A rectangular flag outline holds a tall palm tree in the middle with a thick, textured trunk that rises from a ruffled patch of ground at the bottom. The top of the tree bursts into a full crown of fanned, feathery fronds pointing in every direction. In the upper left corner, a large crescent moon sits with its points facing up and to the right. The rest of the flag is left open, so there is plenty of blank space for big color areas. Kids can fill the background with a solid color, then use browns and greens on the trunk and fronds to practice staying inside the lines. This free printable also works well for a geography or state symbols lesson, where students look up real flag colors and then match them with crayons or markers.
