Panda Family Chewing Bamboo in the Mountains
Coloring guide
Two big pandas and one little cub sit side by side on a leafy forest floor, each happily chewing a bamboo stalk. The adults lift their leafy stems to their mouths, and the cub in the middle holds its own bunch of leaves with both paws. Round paw pads show on the bottoms of their feet, which are fun to color. Tall bamboo frames both sides, and behind the pandas a calm river winds past pine trees, rolling hills, mountains and a puffy cloud. Fallen leaves and a few rocks dot the ground. Soft pink works for the paw pads, fresh greens for the bamboo, and black for the ears, eye patches and arms. Print or download it free to add to your growing stack of coloring pages. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky and distant mountains: color the top sky and the cloud-free background in pale blue, then fill the mountains with sky blue, leaving the cloud white.
- 2Color the grass and leafy ground in lime green and fresh green, and fill the bamboo stalks and leaves with lime green and mint green.
- 3Fill the trees along the river and the bushes with forest green and leaf green, and color the river and bottom rocks with light gray.
- 4Color the pandas' ears, eye patches, legs, arms and feet in charcoal black, and color their feet pads and shaded foot soles in medium gray.
- 5Keep the panda faces, bellies, and the baby panda's head white, and leave the eye whites and the ground between the pandas white.
- 6Optional: Add a darker charcoal touch along the bottom of the pandas' bodies and a little sage green between the leaves for depth.
