Giant Panda Strolling a Rocky Bamboo Path
Coloring guide
Walking straight toward you along a stony, pebbled path, this fluffy giant panda wears a cheerful open-mouth smile. The scene has plenty of detail. Tall bamboo stalks with long pointed leaves fill the left side, and leafy plants and big rounded boulders frame the bottom corners. Behind the panda, pine trees dot the hillsides, two jagged mountain peaks rise under puffy clouds, and a couple of birds soar across the sky. The furry outline, round ears and big eye patches are ready for color. Leave the belly white and fill the eye patches, ears and legs with soft black or dark gray, then try fresh greens for the bamboo and cool blues and purples for the faraway mountains. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big sky and mountains: color the distant mountains and the snowy peaks sky blue, and leave the clouds and the sky background white.
- 2Color the panda's black parts charcoal: the legs, the shoulder band, and the eye patches, while keeping the white head and white back patch untouched.
- 3Fill the bamboo stalks and leafy plants on both sides with lime green and grass green, then add the green hills and pine trees in grass green.
- 4Color the rocky path and the stones at the bottom in light gray, with a few sage green patches on the plants near the rocks.
- 5Optional: Add a little shading on the panda's black fur with charcoal or warm gray, and keep the eye shines and the nose area bright white.
