Here's a happy teddy bear sitting on the grass in a polka-dot party hat with a fluffy pom-pom, a party horn in one paw. The other paw rests on a big round clock with both hands pointing to twelve, so midnight is nearly here. The bear has a wide open smile, round eyes and a little nose, and paw pads show on the soles of its feet. Curly streamers float down both sides of the page, small stars dot the space around the bear, and a few tufts of grass sit in the bottom corners. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the bear's head, ears, paws, shoulder, and feet in warm brown, leaving the muzzle, inner ears, and foot pads for later.
- 2Fill the muzzle, inner ears, and the big foot pads with light peach.
- 3Paint the party hat cone sky blue, add sunny yellow polka dots, and color the hat band and the pompom with bright red and lemon yellow.
- 4Color the clock rim in bright red, fill the clock face with pale cream, and make the clock center lemon yellow.
- 5Add golden yellow stripes and lemon yellow ends to the party blower, color the tongue hot pink, and fill the two stars lemon yellow. Leave the confetti streamers and background white.
- 6Optional: add a little extra pressure with warm brown in the shadows under the head and paws to give the bear more depth.
