Patterned Elephant by a Waterfall for Adult Coloring
Coloring guide
A smiling baby elephant stands in a leafy outdoor scene with its trunk raised toward a sunny sky. Its body, ears and trunk are covered in detailed designs: big blooming flowers, swirls, small leaves, dotted bands around the legs and a flower on top of its head. In the background there's a large tree on the left, rolling bushy hills, two mountain peaks, puffy clouds, a shining sun, a calm lake and a small waterfall. Flowers and leafy plants fill the foreground. With both small and large spaces, it's a good match for older kids, teens and grown-ups who like careful coloring. Give every flower on the elephant its own bright shade, and keep the scenery in soft greens and blues so the elephant stands out. Free to print for a quiet afternoon. - 2Paint the mountains light blue, and color the tree trunk brown with the leaves in leaf green, grass green and lime green.
- 3Fill the elephant's body, head and trunk with cool gray, leaving the eye and tusks-free teeth white.
- 4Color the big flowers on the body and ear in coral pink with golden yellow centers, and add orange on the swirl near the front leg.
- 5Color the waterfall and river in light blue and pale blue, add grass green to the bushes and grass, and finish the tail tip in charcoal.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the underside of the elephant body with a slightly deeper gray to make it look rounder.
