Penguin Carrying Too Many Christmas Presents

A wide-eyed penguin waddles across a patch of ice with a huge stack of wrapped gifts piled against its chest and rising above its head. The penguin wears a knit hat with a pom-pom and a scarf with fringed ends, and its open beak and worried eyes make it look like the whole tower might tip over. The boxes come in different sizes, some long and flat, some square, each with ribbons crossing the lid and a few with bows on top. Small motion lines near the hat and one flying gift on the right suggest a wobble. Try coloring each present in a different pattern, like stripes or dots, so the pile is easy to tell apart. It also works well for a counting game, since kids can tally the boxes and talk about which ones sit on top. This page is free to print.
