Piccolo Leaps With a Billowing Cape, Dragon Ball Z
Coloring guide
Piccolo leaps through the air in a strong fighting stance, fists clenched and one arm pulled back like he's about to strike. Behind him, a long, billowing cape sweeps out in big curved shapes that make the page feel full of motion. He has a wrapped turban, a wide sash at the waist, baggy pants and wrapped boots, and his pointed ear is easy to see. In the top corner, a small inset shows the same pose as a dark silhouette. The page has no background, so kids can stay focused on him. The cape and pants have large open areas that are simple to fill in. Green skin, purple clothes and a white cape would look good. Grab the free PDF and print it at home, maybe with a few extra copies. This fits right in with our Dragon Ball Z coloring pages — see also Gravity Falls and The Flintstones.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- sky blue
- deep purple
- steel blue
- light gray
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big cape shapes in sky blue, sweeping across the right side and down the left, and leave the bright highlight near the top right and the lower left tail white.
- 2Fill the pants, belt, and right pant cuff in deep purple, following the folds of the fabric down to the boots.
- 3Color the left boot and the lower left pant leg in deep purple, and add the left hanging sleeve in steel blue.
- 4Fill the shadowed part of the small corner picture in light gray, keeping its cape highlight and head white.
- 5Keep the bandana, chest, shoulder, and right wrist white so the figure pops against the blue cape.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of steel blue along the cape folds and deep purple in the pant creases for extra depth.
