Picnic Under the Tree with Daniel Tiger

Daniel Tiger is kneeling on a checkered blanket and tugging a sandwich out of a woven basket whose lid is propped open. He's got a drawstring hooded sweatshirt on and a big open-mouth smile. On the blanket next to him are a plate with two sandwich halves and a juice box with an apple picture. The basket also holds another apple-labeled bottle and a second sandwich. A large tree with falling leaves fills the top corner, and a smiling sun, rounded bushes, grass tufts and two little flowers sit behind him. All those checks and basket weave lines make plenty of small spaces for kids to fill in. Red and green would suit the apple labels, orange works for Daniel's fur, and his sweatshirt could be bright blue or yellow. Print it at home for classroom time or a rainy day.
