This little pirate crab stands on a ship's wooden deck and waves one big claw, grinning under an eye patch. A polka-dot bandana is tied at the side of his head. Next to him is a closed treasure chest with a keyhole and metal studs, and a string of beads and a few coins have spilled out in front. Also on deck are a starfish, a seashell, a coiled rope, and a wooden barrel. Behind him a blank flag flies on a pole, a mast with rope netting rises on the right, and the sea runs out to a small palm tree island under puffy clouds and seagulls. There are big and small spaces throughout, so this free printable works for many ages. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the sky and the small island background in sky blue, leaving the fluffy clouds white.
- 2Fill the ocean waves and water behind the railing with ocean blue, then paint the wooden deck, mast, and barrel in light brown.
- 3Color the crab body, both claws, and all its legs in coral red, leaving the eye whites bright.
- 4Paint the bandana with royal blue dots left white, then fill the eye patch and the flag with charcoal black.
- 5Color the treasure chest in dark brown and light brown, and add golden yellow to the keyhole and sand dollar coins.
- 6Optional: add a few darker shadows along the chest edges and under the crab for depth.
