Pirate Ship With Patterned Sails and Skull Flags

Coloring guide
A pirate ship sails over wavy water, with four flags flying from its masts. Each flag shows a skull and crossbones. The sails are cut into patches, and each patch has its own pattern: stars, big polka dots, stripes and diagonal lines. The wooden hull is built from tall planks, with three round portholes along the side and a row of small dots running around the edge of the deck. A tiny crow's nest sits at the top of the middle mast. Wavy lines under the ship fill the bottom of the page. Because every sail section has a different pattern, this printable is a good one for practicing with crayons and markers. Try a different color for each patch, or color all the star sections one shade and all the dot sections another so kids can spot the repeating shapes. The large open areas suit younger kids, and the detailed patterns give older kids plenty to work on.
