Behind a podium stands a smiling girl with long wavy hair, dressed in a blazer and waving one hand high, with a microphone in front of her. The podium shows a big star framed by two laurel branches, and a banner with five stars hangs between two tall poles behind her. Beyond the stage are leafy trees, flower bushes, a small fence and a little city skyline. At the bottom of the page, the backs of several kids' heads make up the crowd, including a child in a baseball cap and others with curly hair, a ponytail and a braid. Red and blue would suit the banner and the podium star, and the audience can have lots of different hair colors. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big sky areas: color the background behind the speaker and around the flag in pale blue, leaving the top right corner and the star shapes white.
- 2Fill the flag with deep blue on the left side and sky blue on the lower strip, keeping the stars white, then add tree foliage in leaf green and forest green.
- 3Color the speaker's skin in peach, including the face and raised hand, and leave the eye whites and smile teeth white.
- 4Give the jacket and raised sleeve a coral pink tone, then color the blouse area white and the hair in caramel brown with a golden yellow highlight on the blonde girls.
- 5Fill the podium in caramel brown and light tan, add the golden yellow star and the deep blue banner, then color the crowd's hair, shirts and cap in red, chocolate brown and deep blue.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on the tree trunks and the hair edges to make the drawing look richer.
