Swan and Barbie Princess in a Flower Ball Gown
Coloring guide
Bending gently forward, a long-haired princess in a big, flowing ball gown says hello to the swan standing beside her. A delicate headband crosses her hair, her puffy sleeves are tied with a rose-style bow at the shoulder, and her skirt has pointed, petal-like panels. Small flowers trail down a ribbon along the front of the dress. She holds a little ornate bird-shaped trinket, and tiny sparkles and stars drift down toward the swan's curved neck and head. The swan stands on webbed feet with its wing folded, looking up at her. The large skirt sections and the swan's feathers leave open space for bigger crayons, and the sparkles and flowers are good for fine-tip pens. Soft lilac or rose pink works for the gown, with golden yellow stars for the magic. Print this free page for a classroom project or a weekend craft. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big gown skirt, its front panels and the shoe tip in sky blue, leaving the swan and the background white.
- 2Fill the puffed sleeves, bodice, front sash and hanging ribbons with pale blue, keeping the white ribbon ends and shoulder highlight white.
- 3Color the face, forehead, hand and forearm in peach skin, leaving the eyes and teeth white.
- 4Color the top and back of the hair in medium brown, then add dark brown strands and locks along the sides and under the hair band.
- 5Fill the flower clusters near the swan's head with golden yellow, and leave the sparkle stars white.
- 6Optional: Add a slightly darker sky blue along the lower folds of the skirt for a little depth.
