Proud Chicken Rooster With Head Held High

Coloring guide
A single rooster stands in side view, facing left with its head held high. The outline shows a jagged comb on top of the head, a small beak and wattle area, a curved chest, and a big rounded tail with ragged edges at the back. One leg is drawn standing on a flat foot, and the shape is left completely empty inside, so there are no feathers or eyes marked. That open space is a nice invitation for kids to add their own details. Try drawing feather lines with a pencil first, then fill the body with warm reds, oranges, and browns and give the comb a bright red. This free printable also works well for a farm unit, since children can talk about what roosters do in the morning while they color. The thick, simple lines make it easy for younger kids to stay inside the edges.
