A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big sky behind the arch and the patch above the left worker with sky blue, leaving the clouds and the white flag squares untouched.
- 2Color the road, the track ground and the pavement with light gray, and the fence rails with pale gray.
- 3Use racing red for the top arch and its side pillars, the race car body, nose, front bumper and the driver's steering hand.
- 4Color the checkered flag by filling some squares with charcoal black and others with dark gray, keeping the lighter squares white.
- 5Add skin peach to faces and hands, navy blue to the worker's pants, leaf green to the trees, bushes and spectator shirt, and orange to the front spectator's shirt.
- 6Optional: Finish the helmet in bright blue, the curly hair in golden yellow, and the worker's vest in lemon yellow, then add a few dark gray shadows under the tires.
