Rafiki Lifts Baby Cub Above Pride Rock

A rocky cliff ledge fills the lower half of this scene. On top of it, a tall, thin baby-holding baboon stands with one arm stretched high and a tiny cub dangling in its hand, paws and tail hanging down. Below on the left, a maned lion and a lioness stand close together, both looking up toward the cub with gentle smiles. The lioness has her head tilted back and her long tail curls behind her. Rafiki, Mufasa, Sarabi and baby Simba are the likely characters, based on the famous presentation moment from The Lion King. The rock has plenty of crack lines and angled sections, so it works well for layered shading. Try browns and grays on the stone, warm golds on the lions, and save a bright color for the cub so the eye goes straight to the top of the page. Free to print for story time or quiet craft hours.
