Rafiki the Baboon Holding His Tall Staff

A friendly baboon leans forward with one long arm planted on the ground while the other arm stretches high to grip a tall, bumpy wooden staff. A small gourd hangs near the top of the staff. The character looks a lot like Rafiki from The Lion King, with a tilted head, a gentle smile, heavy-lidded eyes and tufts of fur around the face and arms. His curved tail sweeps up behind him, and his bent legs and flat feet are drawn at the lower left. The big open areas on the arms and body are easy to fill in. Try soft grays and browns for the fur, a warm tan for the staff, and a bright orange or yellow for the gourd. The long staff is also a good spot for practicing steady, straight strokes with a crayon.
