Rainbow & Pot of Gold (St. Patrick's) Pond Pal: Frog on a Lily Pad
Coloring guide
A cheerful frog with big round eyes and a wide smile sits upright on a large lily pad, front feet with little toes resting on the leaf. Its round belly is outlined in the middle, and a few oval spots on the sides and legs are fun to fill in. Tall cattails and grassy leaves rise on both sides, and gentle ripple lines curve around the pad on the water. Big shapes and bold, clean lines make it a good match for preschoolers and early elementary kids building pencil control. Leaf green for the frog, a deeper green for the pad and brown cattail tops will help the frog stand out. It's a free printable PDF for a rainy afternoon or a classroom pond theme. Kids who like Rainbow & Pot of Gold (St. Patrick's) coloring pages usually enjoy Halloween and Gingerbread House too.

- warm brown
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the lily pad and the tall reeds on both sides with leaf green, letting the strokes vary a little for a natural look.
- 2Fill the frog's head, arms, legs and feet with lime green, leaving the eye whites and the small shine in the right eye white.
- 3Color the frog's belly with soft butter yellow so it stands out from the green body.
- 4Color the two cattail heads warm brown, then add forest green to the shaded parts of the reed leaves around the pond.
- 5Add forest green spots along the sides and shoulders of the frog to finish the body. Optional: Add a slightly darker green along the edges of the lily pad for a little depth.
