Up on top of a rainbow sits a cheerful little fairy, hair in a bun with a flower beside it, swinging her legs and waving a star-tipped magic wand. Small and medium stars sparkle in a trail from the wand on the right side of the page. She wears a puff-sleeved top, a petal-shaped skirt, and bow-topped shoes, and her two big wings have simple inner outlines. Fluffy clouds fill the corners and sit at the rainbow's base. Wide rainbow bands and large wing sections are easy for small hands, while the stars and petals give older kids a little detail. A pink or lilac skirt, a bright yellow wand and stars, and classic red-to-violet stripes would look sweet. Free to print for quiet time at home or in class. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the rainbow: color the outer stripe bright red, the next stripe golden yellow, then leaf green and bright blue on the inner arches.
- 2Fill the four clouds, top left, top right edge, bottom left and bottom right, with light sky blue, leaving the background white.
- 3Color the fairy's face, neck, arms, legs and ears with skin peach, keeping the eye whites and the smile area white.
- 4Paint the dress and petal skirt light pink, the shoes hot pink, and the wings lavender purple with light sky blue centers and a mint green tip behind the skirt.
- 5Color the hair and bun golden yellow, add the hot pink flower, and fill the wand star and the small stars with golden yellow.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker shade of each color along one side of the dress, wings and hair for a little depth.
