This smiling kitten is wearing a hooded raincoat and sitting right in the middle of a puddle, splashing its front paws so droplets fly everywhere. It has big sparkly eyes, long whiskers and a fluffy tail. Two puffy clouds rain down overhead, and a small open umbrella with a curved handle rests on the ground next to the puddle. Little grass tufts poke up at the edges. The raincoat has a row of round buttons and rolled-up sleeves, so small hands get some careful coloring practice. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the kitten's fur: color the face, tail, legs and sides of the head in orange, leaving the big round eye whites white.
- 2Fill the raincoat body, hood, sleeves and collar in golden yellow, then add the small buttons down the front.
- 3Color the umbrella in bright blue, keeping the handle and panel edges neat, and add the small green shade behind it in grass green.
- 4Paint the puddle and the small puddles in light blue, then add the pale sky blue clouds and raindrops.
- 5Add the soft pink inner ears, nose and tongue, plus a touch of cream on the cheeks.
- 6Optional: Finish the splashes around the paws and the small grass plants in light blue and grass green, and leave the eye highlights white.
