Rainy Day Monkey with a Leaf Umbrella
Coloring guide
Rain is falling, and this smiling little monkey holds a big leaf over its head like an umbrella while raindrops drip off the edge. Its tail curls into a spiral behind it, and its feet are planted near a couple of puddles. Smiling butterflies flutter nearby, one at the upper left and two more at the right. Spotted mushrooms sit in the bottom corners, with leafy jungle plants and small grass tufts behind. Clean lines and big shapes suit preschoolers and early elementary kids. Try a fresh green leaf and light blue puddles, then let your child choose bright colors for the butterflies. Print it at home for a quick coloring break any time. - 3Color the monkey's face, feet and belly in peach skin, and shade the ear with soft pink inside.
- 4Add the puddles and the ground in sky blue, leaving the light patches on the ground white.
- 5Color the mushroom caps in bright red, leave the dots white, and fill the stems with cream.
- 6Finish the grass in grass green and leaf green, the butterflies in pink and purple, and the raindrops in pale blue. Optional: add a little light brown shading on the monkey's body for depth.
