This rally car has big expressive eyes on its windshield and is splashing straight through a muddy puddle. Mud spatters the hood, doors and wheels, and water droplets fly up around the tires. The car comes with a roof scoop, a rear spoiler, round headlights, a honeycomb grille and a hood vent. A dirt path winds behind it between leafy bushes and tall trees, heading toward a gentle hill far off. A few small rocks sit in the foreground by the puddle. With both large shapes and fine details, it's a good match for kids who like to take their time. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the leafy trees, bushes and grass in the background with bright green and leaf green, and color the distant hill with teal.
- 2Color the tree trunks and the big muddy splashes around the tires and puddle with mud brown, adding dark brown on the darkest mud spots.
- 3Paint the whole car body with bright orange, then use burnt orange on the lower sides and wheel areas for a little depth.
- 4Color the windshield and side windows with sky blue, and fill the headlight glows and light highlights with pale blue, leaving the eye whites white.
- 5Finish the grille and lower bumper with charcoal gray, and add tan to the rear spoiler and front lower details. Optional: add a few darker strokes of mud brown on the bottom of the wheels.
