Ray and Jack Robot Name Plate from Rusty Rivets
Coloring guide
Two friendly robots squeeze into one rounded frame, and the words RAY + JACK run along the bottom in big bubble letters. Ray, on the left, is a round bot on a single wheel with a bendy ribbed neck, a circular head with a striped speaker grille and a small antenna on top. Jack, on the right, is boxy with big round eyes, two claw-like arms held up high, a tiny antenna and triangular tank-tread feet. Only the bold border is drawn, with no scene behind them, so the machine details get all the attention. Silver-blue suits Jack, while orange looks good on Ray's wheel and bolts, and the letters can take any colors you like. Print it at home for an easy afternoon activity. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big orange areas: color the main box body of the robot on the right and the letters JACK in tangerine orange.
- 2Fill the yellow top panel and arms of the robot with lemon yellow and golden yellow, leaving the round eye rings and the small highlights white.
- 3Color Ray's body and top disc in cherry red and amber orange, and the sky blue for the letters RAY.
- 4Use charcoal gray for the tracks, wheels, and claws, and medium gray for the joints and neck bands.
- 5Add the plus sign in lemon yellow and the small buttons in golden yellow, keeping the head disc of Ray white with its black grille.
- 6Optional: Add light shading with a darker shade of each color along the edges to give the robots a little depth.
