Whirly and Crush, two robot buddies from Rusty Rivets, share a badge-style frame with their names in big bubble letters across the top. Whirly is the small round flyer on the left, with goggle-like eyes, a spinning propeller on his head, little side wings and a tiny claw tool hanging underneath. Crush is taller and stands on the right, built like a bent crane arm. His boxy head has round eyes, two antennas and a scoop-shaped jaw, and he rolls on one chunky treaded wheel. The white background leaves lots of open room to fill in. Silver and light blue fit Whirly nicely, and bright yellow or orange helps Crush pop beside him. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big orange parts of the tall robot, Crush: the arm top, head top, arm, and the orange sides of its round base.
- 2Color Whirly's round head and belly in bright blue, then fill the yellow wings and the yellow body band.
- 3Fill the yellow parts of Crush next: the cup front, cup rim, head ledge, and wheel, leaving the white eye spots empty.
- 4Use medium gray for the neck, collar rings, antenna, and propeller base, then add dark gray to the treads and tan to the little jetpack.
- 5Color the two propeller blades red, then fill the title letters: blue for WHIRLY and red for CRUSH, and the plus sign in golden yellow.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading along the edges of the orange and yellow parts for depth, and leave the background white.
