Ripe Apples Hanging and Fallen Around a Tree

Coloring guide
The whole page is taken up by a big, round apple tree with a cloud-like, scalloped crown, and eight large apples hang among the leaves. Every apple has its own little stem, a leaf and a curved shine mark that's fun to color. Loose leaves drift around the branches. The thick trunk splits into a fork and has bark lines plus a knothole on one side. Down at the base, three more apples have dropped onto the grass, with small tufts scattered nearby. Behind the tree you'll see two rounded bushes and a gentle hill. Big shapes and open spaces make it a good match for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Mixing red, green and yellow apples helps the fruit pop against bright green leaves, and brown suits the trunk. Print it free for classroom time or a rainy day. Kids who like Apple coloring pages usually enjoy Girl Power and Hot Dog too.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color all the apples, both hanging and fallen on the grass, with bright red, leaving small white shine spots on each apple.
- 2Fill the big leafy crown of the tree and the lower leafy patches with lime green.
- 3Color the leaves scattered around the crown, the bushes on both sides, and the leaf on the grass in forest green.
- 4Color the tree trunk, the branches and the knot on the trunk with warm brown.
- 5Fill the grass patches at the bottom and the stems with lime green, and leave the sky and ground background white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading along one side of the trunk and under the apples to make them look rounder.
