Perched on a pile of rocks, this off-road Jeep has big googly eyes on its windshield area and looks ready for a bumpy ride. The cartoon truck has chunky, deeply treaded tires, a seven-slot front grille, round headlights and four round lights on the roof. Jagged mountain peaks rise behind it over bushy shrubs, with puffy clouds drifting across the sky. In front there are small rocks, grass tufts and leafy bushes, so kids get plenty of different shapes to work on. The tire treads are great for careful small strokes, and the big mountains and boulders are quick to fill in. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky and mountains: color the big mountains in royal blue, the distant mountain on the right in sky blue, and the clouds in pale blue.
- 2Fill the bushes and grass at the sides with lime green, and add forest green to the bushes behind the jeep for depth.
- 3Color the winding dirt path in sandy brown and the rocks in silver gray, leaving small light spots on the rocks white.
- 4Color the jeep body in bright red, then fill the bumper, seats, mirror and grille areas with charcoal gray.
- 5Finish the tires in charcoal gray with silver gray hubs, color the roof lights golden yellow, and keep the eye whites white. Optional: add light shading on the rocks and tires with a darker gray for depth.
